Editor, Sci-Fi Pilot

Hey everyone, I'm a VFX artist starting up an independent production and I'm looking for a talented editor for an upcoming sci-fi pilot. This project is a gritty, near-future tech thriller with some really cool visual effects opportunities. We're aiming for a dark, atmospheric tone, so a strong sense of pacing and storytelling will be key. Your main responsibilities will be assembling raw footage into a cohesive narrative, refining cuts based on feedback, and managing project files efficiently. You should have your own editing suite and software, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro. We're looking for someone entry-level but with a strong reel demonstrating solid technical skills and a creative eye for narrative. Any experience with VFX integration would be a huge plus but isn't required. Shoot dates are approximate, targeting late August or early September 2026 likely 5-7 days of shooting. We anticipate needing you for about 10-14 days of post-production. We'll provide all raw footage, a detailed script, and a clear vision for the final cut. This is a paid position, $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience. San Francisco based candidates are preferred. Please send your reel and a brief email about your experience.
