Entry-Level Editor, Sci-Fi Feature

Looking for a passionate entry-level Editor to join our upcoming independent sci-fi feature film, 'Echoes of Serenity.' This project is a character-driven thriller with a unique time-bending premise and a grounded, naturalistic tone. We're aiming for a strong festival run and distribution. You'll be responsible for assembling raw footage, creating impactful sequences, refining pacing, and contributing to the overall story flow. We primarily shoot on Blackmagic and use DaVinci Resolve for post, so familiarity with that workflow is a big plus. While this is an entry-level position, a strong reel demonstrating your understanding of narrative editing and visual storytelling is essential. Experience with DaVinci Resolve, color grading basics, and sound design principles are ideal. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a percentage of revenue once the film is acquired or distributed. We're looking to start editing in late summer or early fall, with a flexible schedule based on mutual availability. We'll provide the footage, project files, and a strong creative vision.
