Gaffer for Sci-Fi Web Series (Senior)

An independent production is seeking a highly experienced Gaffer to join our team for an exciting sci-fi web series. This project, set in a dystopian New Orleans, offers a gritty, neo-noir aesthetic with ambitious visual storytelling, blending practical effects with stylized lighting. We're looking for someone who can translate complex visual concepts into compelling on-screen atmosphere. Your key responsibilities will include leading the lighting crew, executing the DP's vision, managing equipment, and ensuring safety on set. We need someone with significant experience as a Gaffer on narrative projects, comfortable with a variety of lighting equipment, and adept at problem-solving in challenging environments. Please have your own basic kit, but larger specialized gear will be provided. A strong reel showcasing your narrative work is essential. We anticipate shoot dates primarily over about 15-20 days in September 2026, with some potential prep in September 2026. Days will be standard 10-12 hour shoots. Compensation is deferred, based on points and a deferred payment structure, reflecting the indie nature of our production. We're a passionate, tight-knit crew ready to make something special.
