Lighting for Short Film

Shooting in Los Angeles, CA for 2-3 days in the second half of September 2026, we're seeking a Gaffer for an independent short film. This is a dramatic, character-driven sci-fi piece exploring themes of memory and loss, with a unique visual style aiming for a blend of realism and subtle, atmospheric unreality. We're looking for someone creative who can help translate our DP's vision into striking lighting setups. Key responsibilities include implementing the lighting plan, leading the electric team (if applicable, we anticipate a small crew), and ensuring safety on set. We're open to all experience levels, from passionate emerging talent to seasoned pros. While we appreciate gaffers with their own basic kit, it's not a strict requirement, as we have access to some grip and lighting gear.
