Gaffer (Senior), Feature Film, Miami

We're shooting an independent feature film in Miami, Florida, with principal photography scheduled for around September 18, 2026, for approximately 3-4 weeks. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama, exploring themes of resilience and difficult choices, with a visually rich, atmospheric tone. We're looking for a seasoned Gaffer to lead our lighting team and help us achieve our desired look. You'll be working closely with the Cinematographer, managing the lighting package, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and executing the lighting plan efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on an impactful story with a passionate crew. We're seeking someone with extensive on-set experience, a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, and the ability to work creatively within budget constraints. You should be comfortable leading a small team and troubleshooting on the fly. While we have a basic lighting package, your expertise in optimizing it or suggesting rental needs is highly valued.
