Lighting for Commercial

We need a Senior Gaffer to lead the lighting department for an exciting upcoming commercial project. This independent production focuses on a vibrant, high-energy product launch, aiming for a clean, modern aesthetic with dynamic, impactful lighting that highlights intricate product details. We're looking for someone who can translate our director's vision into stunning visuals, bringing creativity and efficiency to the set. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the DP to design the lighting plan, overseeing the rigging and striking of all lighting equipment, and managing the electric and grip teams. You'll be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are met and maintaining a positive, productive atmosphere on set. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership and problem-solving skills under pressure. We're seeking a Gaffer with at least 5+ years of commercial experience in a senior role. You should have a deep understanding of various lighting fixtures, power distribution, and set safety. While we have a gear package, candidates with their own specialty equipment or vehicle will be highly considered. The shoot is anticipated for 2-3 full days in mid October 2026, with 1-2 prep days prior. Long days are expected, but lunch and snacks will be provided on set. Compensation will be discussed based on experience and portfolio.
