Gaffer (Lighting Lead), Pilot, Minneapolis

We're gearing up for a pilot shoot in Minneapolis, MN, aiming for principal photography around October 12, 2026. This independent production is a dark comedy, a character-driven story with elements of magical realism. We're looking for a Gaffer to lead our lighting department for a 5-day shoot, plus 1-2 prep days, ensuring our vision comes to life on screen. This project offers a unique opportunity to shape the visual style of a compelling new series. Your expertise will be vital in crafting the mood and atmosphere. Key responsibilities include executing the DP's lighting plan, managing the lighting crew, and ensuring all electrical safety protocols are met. We need someone who can work efficiently on a tight schedule and adapt to changing conditions. Applicants should have a strong understanding of lighting techniques, equipment, and on-set etiquette. We'll provide a basic lighting package, but a Gaffer with access to additional specialized gear would be a plus. Compensation is $2000-3000 per week, paid weekly.
