Lighting for Corporate Video

Shooting in Montreal, QC, we're seeking a skilled Gaffer for a 1-2 day corporate video project planned for late September 2026. This independent production focuses on an innovative tech startup, aiming for a clean, professional, and visually engaging tone to showcase their product and team. We're looking for someone who can help us achieve a polished, high-end look without a massive budget, bringing creative solutions to the table. Key responsibilities include designing and executing the lighting setup, managing a small lighting package, ensuring consistent and flattering illumination for interviews and product shots, and collaborating closely with the cinematographer and director. You'll be responsible for safety and efficiency on set when it comes to power and lighting. While all experience levels are welcome to apply, a strong understanding of lighting principles, color temperature, and effective use of available light and practicals is crucial. Access to a basic lighting kit (LED panels, small HMI/Tungsten units, stands, modifiers) is a significant asset, though we can supplement. Please provide a reel or examples of your previous lighting work, especially for corporate or interview setups. This is a partnership opportunity, offering a Co-producer credit and backend participation, reflecting a collaborative approach to independent filmmaking. Exact shoot dates will be finalized soon but will fall within late September 2026. This is a great chance to contribute creatively to a project with a strong team.
