Lighting for Feature Film

Seeking a Lighting Assistant for an independent feature film shooting approximately three weeks in the last week of October 2026 in and around Dublin, IE. This is a deferred compensation role (backend percentage). Our upcoming project is a gritty, character-driven drama with elements of a neo-noir thriller, exploring themes of loyalty and consequence in a contemporary urban setting. We're aiming for a moody, atmospheric visual style that supports the intense narrative. As Lighting Assistant, you'll be crucial in supporting our Gaffer and DP, helping to set up, operate, and strike lighting equipment safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door on a feature. We're looking for someone with a basic understanding of film set safety protocols and lighting principles. No specific gear is required, as we will be renting a small package. Please have some prior on-set experience (student films, shorts) and be eager to learn and contribute to a fast-paced environment.
