Gaffer (Senior), London Web Series (Deferred Pay)

Seeking an experienced Gaffer for an independent web series shooting in London. We're looking for a skilled lighting professional to join our small, dedicated team for a high-concept, grounded sci-fi project. This is a deferred pay role, perfect for someone looking to contribute their expertise to an exciting, character-driven story with a visually distinct tone. We're planning about 3-4 weeks of principal photography in October 2026. Shoot days will typically be 10-12 hours. We anticipate some prep work would also be required in the weeks prior. As Gaffer, you will be responsible for executing the Director of Photography's vision, leading the lighting crew, and ensuring all lighting is set up safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities include managing lighting equipment, power distribution, and collaborating closely with the DP and electrics team. Candidates must have extensive experience as a Gaffer on narrative projects, a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, and the ability to work effectively within an indie production environment. While we will be renting some specialized gear, having access to a basic lighting package (stands, stingers, small LED units) would be a significant advantage.
