Lighting for Pilot

Seeking a senior Gaffer for a compelling, character-driven dramatic pilot shooting in New York, NY. This project explores themes of resilience and difficult choices with a grounded, intimate tone. We are looking for someone available for approximately three weeks of work, primarily the last week of October 2026 for prep and testing, and then into November 2026 for the principal photography. The rate for this role is $2000-3000 per week, commensurate with experience. As Gaffer, you will be responsible for leading the lighting team, working closely with the DP to achieve the visual aesthetic, and managing all lighting equipment. We need a seasoned professional with a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, safety protocols, and efficient crew management. You should have extensive experience gaffing narrative content, ideally pilots or features, and a reel demonstrating your expertise is essential. Please note, we are providing the lighting package for this independent production, so personal gear is not required, though familiarity with industry-standard equipment is expected.
