Lighting for Music Video

Looking for a talented Gaffer for a 1-2 day music video shoot in Austin, TX, paying $200-400/day. Shoot dates are tentatively planned for the first half of November 2026. We're working on an independent production for an emerging indie-folk artist, with a moody, atmospheric tone that blends natural light with creative practicals. It's a visually driven piece, requiring a nuanced approach to lighting to capture the song's intimate narrative. This is a great opportunity to contribute creatively to a project with strong artistic vision. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the DP to execute the lighting plan, leading a small lighting team, and ensuring all gear is set up safely and efficiently. You'll be expected to bring your own basic gaff kit, including a meter, but we will be renting a full lighting package for the shoot. We're looking for someone with at least 2-3 years of gaffing experience on narrative or music video sets. Please submit a reel or portfolio showcasing your lighting work. Specific hours will be 10-12 per day. Meals, water, and craft services will be provided on set. We're seeking a team player with a positive attitude and a passion for crafting compelling visuals.
