Gaffer (Mid-Level) for Brooklyn Pilot

When a reclusive inventor's experiment goes awry, he accidentally unleashes a mischievous entity. We're seeking a skilled Gaffer for a comedic supernatural drama pilot, an independent production with a quirky tone and compelling visual opportunities. You'll be responsible for executing the lighting plan, managing the electric team, and ensuring creative and technically sound illumination for all scenes. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, safety protocols, and efficient problem-solving on set. We're looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of experience in film or TV lighting, a solid understanding of a variety of lighting units, and preferably access to a basic kit (gels, stands, stingers, etc.). Please submit a reel or portfolio showcasing your best work. Shoot dates are TBD, likely 3-4 days in late August or early September 2026, 10-12 hour days. We'll provide specialized lighting equipment and generators. This is a paid position, $300-500 a day, depending on experience and kit.
