Locations for Short Film

Seeking a Locations Scout or Manager for a dramatic short film shooting late August or early September 2026 in Chicago. This is a character-driven story exploring themes of memory and loss, with a subtle, melancholic tone. We need someone who can help us secure a few key indoor and outdoor locations that evoke a sense of quiet urban decay and personal history. Key responsibilities include scouting and presenting viable options (photos and contact info) for specific scenes, assisting with location agreements, and potentially being on set to facilitate. While prior experience in locations is a plus, we're open to working with enthusiastic beginners eager to learn. A good eye for visual storytelling and familiarity with Chicago neighborhoods are essential. We anticipate 3-5 prep days and 1-2 shoot days for location needs.
