Sound Design for Pilot
Hey Chicago sound folks (or remote talent!), I'm Marcus, a Foley Artist, and I'm looking for a skilled Sound Designer for an upcoming pilot. This is a dramatic, character-driven piece with a strong psychological thriller element. Think atmospheric, nuanced soundscapes that really build tension and highlight internal struggles. It's a really interesting script that relies heavily on its sonic texture to draw the audience in. Your main responsibilities will include designing and implementing all non-dialogue, non-Foley audio elements, including ambiences, hard effects, and creating a cohesive soundscape for the entire pilot. We need someone who can work independently and has a strong creative vision. You'll need your own workstation and a solid library of sound effects. Please send a reel demonstrating your dramatic sound design work. Prior experience on narrative projects, especially pilots or shorts, is a big plus. The pilot has an approximate runtime of 30 minutes. We're aiming for a post-production schedule in late summer, early fall, exact dates TBD, but expect roughly a 10-day workload. Compensation is $250/day (flat rate). We'll provide all necessary picture and sound assets. Excited to hear from you and collaborate on this cool project!
