Sound Design for Web Series

Hey, Aisha here, a director working on an upcoming independent web series and I'm on the hunt for an enthusiastic entry-level Sound Designer. This isn't just any show, it's a character-driven sci-fi drama with a quirky, almost indie-film vibe, so we're aiming for a really unique and immersive sonic world. Think atmospheric soundscapes mixed with intimate, naturalistic audio. We want the sound to be a character in itself. Your responsibilities will cover everything from dialogue clean-up and foley creation to sound effects integration and final mixdown. Basically, you'll be shaping the entire auditory experience. We're looking for someone who has their own sound design software, a decent set of headphones, and ideally, some basic recording equipment for foley (even if it's just a solid field recorder and mic). While experience is a plus, a passion for sound and a willingness to learn are most important to us. If you have a reel showcasing any of your previous sound work (even student films or personal projects), please include it! We're envisioning shoot dates in late spring, so post-production would likely be summer to early fall. This is a passion project for everyone involved, so compensation is on a profit-share basis, giving you a stake in our success. We're open to remote work for the right candidate, but if you're in Cape Town, that's a bonus. Looking forward to hearing from you!
