Sound Designer, Music Video (Austin)

Hey everyone, James here. I'm putting together a team for an upcoming independent music video project and I'm looking for a talented Sound Designer to join us. This is a really cool, visually driven piece for an alternative indie artist, with a dreamy, slightly surreal vibe. It'll require some creative soundscapes and an intuitive sense of atmosphere, rather than just foley and effects. We really want the sound to elevate the visuals and tell part of the story. You'll be responsible for all aspects of sound design, from crafting unique sonic textures to mixing and mastering the track for final delivery. We're looking for someone with around 3-5 years of experience in music video or short film sound design, ideally with your own studio setup and a strong reel that demonstrates your stylistic range. Access to a comprehensive sound effects library is a plus. We're aiming to shoot late April/early May here in Austin, with post-production to follow immediately. The daily rate is $300-500, depending on experience and the scope of work. We'll provide all necessary picture lock files and a clear creative brief.
