Directing for Music Video

We are seeking a Director for an independent music video project shooting in New York, NY, with an estimated 1-2 day shoot around October 10, 2026. This is a volunteer position, offering meals and a copy of the final video. The artist is an emerging indie-pop singer, and the video concept is visually driven, exploring themes of urban introspection and connection, with a slightly surreal, dreamlike tone. We're aiming for something artful and cinematic, providing a great opportunity for a director to showcase their vision. Key responsibilities include leading the creative vision, collaborating with the artist and crew, blocking scenes, and guiding performances. We're open to all experience levels, from emerging talents looking for their next portfolio piece to seasoned directors interested in a passion project. While specific gear is not required, directors should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling and a compelling reel demonstrating their style and capabilities.
