Director, Brooklyn Music Video

Seeking an experienced Director to lead an upcoming music video project for an indie pop artist. This is a visually driven, high-energy piece with a slightly surreal, dreamlike aesthetic, focusing on dynamic performances and creative transitions. We're looking for someone who can bring a fresh, imaginative vision to a concept centered around self-discovery in an urban setting. Key responsibilities include collaborating on concept development, translating the artist's vision into a compelling narrative, blocking scenes, guiding performances, and overseeing the creative execution on set. You'll be working closely with a small, passionate crew to bring this story to life. We need a Director with a strong reel showcasing previous music video or narrative short work, ideally with a similar genre or visual style. You should have a proven track record of managing crews and talent effectively, and be adept at creative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Must have experience directing senior-level productions. The shoot is planned for 1-2 full days, likely around October 17, 2026, in various Brooklyn locations. Prep work, including pre-production meetings and casting input, would take place in the weeks prior. Compensation is $300-500/day for the shoot days, plus a flat fee for prep. Transportation within Brooklyn and meals on shoot days will be provided.
