Directing for Pilot

Filming in Atlanta, GA this early October 2026, we're seeking a Director for a 3-day pilot shoot. This is a suspenseful sci-fi drama, think \"Black Mirror meets The Twilight Zone\" with a unique visual style and an intimate, character-driven story. We need someone who can bring a distinct vision and guide our small cast to compelling performances. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the DP on shot lists, directing actors on set, and ensuring the story's tone is consistently maintained. You'll work closely with a dedicated crew on this independent production. While experience level is open, a strong reel demonstrating storytelling ability and character direction is essential. We're looking for someone who can communicate effectively and inspire a team. Compensation is $250/day flat. The production will provide basic camera and lighting packages, but directors with specific gear preferences or access to specialty equipment are welcome to discuss. Prep will involve 2-3 virtual meetings in late September 2026. This is a great opportunity for an emerging talent to make their mark on a project with significant potential.
