Gaffer for Sci-Fi Pilot (Atlanta)

Seeking an experienced Gaffer for an independent sci-fi pilot shooting approximately 7-8 days in October 2026, paying $100-200/day. This project is a tense, character-driven thriller set on a remote research outpost, focusing on psychological tension rather than grand spectacle. We're looking for someone who can craft atmospheric and nuanced lighting to enhance the suspense and isolation. You'll be responsible for leading the lighting team, collaborating closely with the DP to execute the visual style, and ensuring all lighting setups are safe and efficient. This includes planning power distribution, selecting and deploying fixtures, and managing the lighting budget. Candidates must have extensive experience as a Gaffer on similar independent productions, a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, and the ability to work resourcefully. Please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your work, specifically highlighting your approach to dramatic and genre lighting.
