Gaffer for Corporate Video, LA (Entry-Level)

Seeking a Gaffer to lead our lighting department on an upcoming corporate video project. We need someone who can confidently execute the lighting plan and work collaboratively with the DP and director from day one. This is for an independent production creating engaging, professional content for a tech client. The tone will be modern and informative, with a focus on clean, well-lit visuals that elevate the subject matter. It's a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a paid project. Your key responsibilities will include setting up and managing lighting equipment, ensuring proper exposure and mood, and troubleshooting any technical issues on set. You'll work closely with the DP to achieve their vision. We're looking for someone with basic lighting experience, ideally with some corporate video work under their belt, and a solid understanding of fundamental lighting principles. Access to a basic lighting package (e.g., small LED panels, light stands, modifiers) is a plus, but not strictly required; we will provide essential gear. Please submit your reel or portfolio showcasing your lighting work. The shoot will be 1-2 days, scheduled sometime in the first half of September 2026, with typical 10-12 hour days. We'll provide craft services and meals on set. We're aiming to wrap up applications by October 4, 2026.
