Lighting for Pilot

We're seeking a senior Gaffer for an independent sci-fi drama pilot shooting in Atlanta. This project explores themes of memory, identity, and AI, with a visually rich, atmospheric tone. We need someone who can craft sophisticated lighting schemes that enhance the story's emotional depth and futuristic aesthetic, working closely with the DP. Your key responsibilities will include leading the lighting department, designing and executing lighting setups, managing equipment, and ensuring safety on set. We're looking for a Gaffer who brings their own comprehensive lighting package, including HMI, LED, and practicals, along with associated grip gear. Proven experience on narrative projects, particularly those with a strong visual component, is essential. Please share your reel and a list of available gear. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for about 3-4 weeks, starting the last week of August 2026. This is a partnership opportunity, offering co-producer credit and backend participation, rather than a flat rate. We'll provide a dedicated lighting assistant and catering. Expected workdays will be standard 10-12 hour shoots.
