Lighting for Web Series

When a small-town cult accidentally summons a shapeshifting entity, a cynical paranormal investigator is their only hope. We're an independent production seeking a skilled Gaffer for our upcoming web series, a dark comedic take on the supernatural. This project promises a visually rich world, blending atmospheric tension with quirky humor, offering a great opportunity to showcase creative lighting. We're looking for someone who can craft compelling lighting designs that enhance both suspense and comedic timing. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with the DP to establish the lighting plan, leading a small lighting team, and ensuring all lighting equipment is set up and operated safely and efficiently. You'll be responsible for executing the lighting vision for each scene, managing power distribution, and troubleshooting on set. We require applicants to have at least entry-level Gaffer experience on independent productions or student films. Experience with various lighting fixtures, including LEDs and practicals, is a must. Please provide a reel or portfolio showcasing your lighting work. While we have basic lighting equipment, bringing additional specialized gear you prefer to work with would be a plus. Shoot dates are approximately 10-12 days over 3 weeks, beginning early October 2026. Days will be 10-12 hours. We will provide meals and on-set refreshments. This is a great chance to contribute significantly to an exciting project and expand your network in the Atlanta film community. Compensation is TBD, based on experience.
